After getting home Christmas Eve from my parents we put Carson to bed and Steven wanted to sit and look at the tree. We then had this conversation.
Steven: We should open up the presents
Me: ok ( I really wanted to know what he got me)
Steven: No, we should wait until morning, but I might be convinced if we stayed up.
Me: (I start to make hot chocolate)
We are then drinking our hot chocolate.
Me: So are we going to open up presents?
Steven: Do you want to?
Me: Yea, I want to know what you got me and tomorrow we can focus more on Carson.
Steven: Ok, but we should leave a few for Carson to see us open.
I have never opened up all my presents on Christmas eve before, but it was great. Growing up I could never sleep on Christmas Eve because I was always too excited. Then in the morning we would all have to wake up and go up to my parent's room and wait for another 30 min to an hour. I was still surprised by opening a day earlier and it was nice because we didn't have to feel rushed the next morning to open presents fast to get back over to my parents. So now you must be wondering what we got!?

Steven's big present to me was a necklace with my birthstone (opal) and two little diamonds on the side. He was so nervous about it, but I love it!

My big gift to Steven is he gets to go to a pheasant unit with his dad, brother, and brother-in-law. They get to go shooting the whole day.
