Pheasant Hunting

For Steven's Christmas gift he got to go pheasant hunting at a pheasant unit with his brother, dad, brother-in-law and the wives. We came along because we didn't want to miss out on all the fun. I even attempted to shoot at a pheasant and by so doing had to gut a pheasant. I'm not even sure if I hit it or Kody did. Steven told me that it's better to know how to gut a pheasant in the case we are in the wild and need to capture food. I hope it never comes to that. Anyway...we enjoyed the weekend with Steven's family and even got to visit my sister, Carly. Monday we invited my parents over and had chicken fried pheasant. It was delicious! p.s. if you have a soft stomach you won't want to look at the last collage.

Randomness

We got this outfit from one of my sisters and even though it says it's 12 months it fits Carson pretty well. The boots kind of matched and Carson actually liked wearing them.

One day Steven and I were doing other things and then I looked and noticed our little reader sitting in the chair. He does this quite frequently, but I'm afraid this habit will continue and when he's older he'll want to read instead of clean the house.

Carson thinks he's pretty funny and we do to. Constantly he is trying to act more like a little man than a baby. I can't believe he is now 15 months! Only 3 more until nursery!

Carson also enjoys sitting on our heads, if we let him. Steven usually does. I don't know where he picked that up!

Watching the Nebraska game

Carson loves watching sports with his Daddy and it's great because we have ESPN 360. Steven loves it! He's pretty sick in these pictures.

Grandkid pictures

All I can do is laugh!

Amy wanted to take a picture with all the grandkids and all the adults were standing around. The kids were already grumpy so Steven and someone elses started clapping and saying yeah! Kimball and Carson soon joined in! P.S. Carson threw up Christmas night and could have possibly gotten your kid sick. SORRY! He's still sick with a fever and very contagious what a great Christmas break.

Christmas Day- Dents

Steven and Amy trying to play together:)

Steven's sister Marcia, and her husband Kody (they're crazy:)

Carson thought this made up track was awesome.

Carson loved playing with his cousins, but got really jealous when his daddy was playing with them.

Tired after getting no morning nap.

Christmas Eve Eve

After getting home Christmas Eve from my parents we put Carson to bed and Steven wanted to sit and look at the tree. We then had this conversation.

Steven: We should open up the presents
Me: ok ( I really wanted to know what he got me)
Steven: No, we should wait until morning, but I might be convinced if we stayed up.
Me: (I start to make hot chocolate)
We are then drinking our hot chocolate.
Me: So are we going to open up presents?
Steven: Do you want to?
Me: Yea, I want to know what you got me and tomorrow we can focus more on Carson.
Steven: Ok, but we should leave a few for Carson to see us open.

I have never opened up all my presents on Christmas eve before, but it was great. Growing up I could never sleep on Christmas Eve because I was always too excited. Then in the morning we would all have to wake up and go up to my parent's room and wait for another 30 min to an hour. I was still surprised by opening a day earlier and it was nice because we didn't have to feel rushed the next morning to open presents fast to get back over to my parents. So now you must be wondering what we got!?

Steven's big present to me was a necklace with my birthstone (opal) and two little diamonds on the side. He was so nervous about it, but I love it!

My big gift to Steven is he gets to go to a pheasant unit with his dad, brother, and brother-in-law. They get to go shooting the whole day.
